HUNTER'S BAR INFANT SCHOOL
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
At Hunters Bar Infant School, we teach the ‘Jigsaw RE’ scheme of work. This scheme is enquiry based and progressive. It has been cross checked against the agreed syllabus for RE in Sheffield to ensure it meets the locally agreed aims of religious education.
We aim to teach children:
- The necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to learn about a range of religions and worldviews.
- To develop their confidence to express their ideas and opinions.
- To develop their ability to think critically, ask questions and help solve problems.
We provide opportunities for children to expand upon their spiritual and moral development and aim to increase their self-awareness, recognise the needs of others and begin to develop their values for life.
We strongly believe in building a tolerant and respectful atmosphere that reflects our diverse community.
