– spontaneous peer group praise
– phone calls and other forms of communication with parents/carers

displaying of good work

– positive praise

More formal awards can also be achieved by children across the school.

Headteacher Award

Each week the Headteacher will award a pupil a Headteacher Award.  This can be awarded for a wide range of reasons. The child will receive a certificate in our Celebration Assembly.

All children are allocated a house when joining the school: tigers, sharks or steelers.
A child receives a house point when they have attained 10 individual Dojo points. These will be given a token to go into their house tube – this is in the main entrance and a visual representation of the house celebrations.

Individual Dojo points will be issued to parents throughout the week. These can be achieved for any of our school values – 3 Bes, Citizen values and those linked to our Learning Legends.

If a child achieves 10 Dojo points they will visit the Headteacher to receive a house point.

Children always work towards individual certificates: copper, bronze, silver, gold, platinum and diamond. These are reached in multiples of 50 points.
