This year’s Gadgeteer’s Summer Reading Challenge has already launched in all Sheffield Libraries. Join the Gadgeteers for the Summer Reading Challenge to discover the amazing science and innovation behind the world around you, including some of your favourite things. The Reading Agency have teamed up with the Science Museum Group for a very special science-themed challenge that will inspire you to use your imagination and creativity.
It’s free to take part in the Summer Reading Challenge, just ask at your local library. It is suitable for children up to 11 years of age. All they have to do is read or share six books of their choice during the summer holidays, collecting stickers and incentives along the way. On completion they will receive a medal and a certificate. Children with Passport to Learning can collect a credit for each book that they read towards their challenge.
As well as the Summer Reading Challenge there are also lots of events and activities taking place in our libraries.
