We will be celebrating Eid on Wednesday 17th April. Although Eid happened during the school break we have
chosen Wednesday so that the whole school can celebrate together. During the day we will be making Eid cards
and we will have a special assembly where we will learn more about Eid and what it means for Muslim people.
The children will enjoy a class party in the afternoon.
CLOTHES: Children can come to school in party clothes, or special Eid clothes. However, children will still
need sensible shoes for outdoor play and all clothes should be suitable for a full day in school
FOOD: During the party children will enjoy some party food. We are asking parents and carers to bring in some
food which can be shared with the class. Vegetarian or Halal food would be ideal. This could be party food or
special Eid foods for the children to try. Where possible, please label food if it is Halal or not – class teachers will
also check before offering it to the children. Drinks will be provided by school. PLEASE ENSURE ALL FOOD IS
NUT FREE.
