A message from Catherine Carr, Headteacher

Hello everyone and welcome back!

I hope that you all managed to have a fabulous family break and that your children feel recharged and ready for school.
We are delighted to welcome back our Year One and Year Two children on Thursday 2nd September, followed by our new Reception children on Monday 6 th September.

If you need a reminder of the drop off and collection procedures, do refer to the July end of year letter, which you can find in the ‘Whole School Letters’ section of the website. The only addition I need to make to this is about the wearing of masks. We asked that all parents wear masks whilst on the yard last year. With the relaxing of measures during the summer break, there has been a reduction in the amount of people wearing masks in public places.

Whilst everyone’s views will be respected, I would like to request that you continue to wear masks on the yard and when speaking to members of staff.

At this point in time, schools have yet to receive a risk assessment for the start of the year,
though there has been communication both from the Department of Education, Sheffield Local Authority and Public Health.

Whilst we await further guidance, it would seem sensible to start September as we had intended – with cautious optimism.
We are sure that the children will be as excited as we are to be back in school and look forward to seeing everyone upon their return.

Kind regards,

Catherine Carr
Head Teacher
